The Kentucky Suicide Prevention Group (KSPG) is a statewide grassroots organization supporting suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention services throughout the Commonwealth. KSPG educates policymakers, communities, organizations, family members, survivors and individuals about best practices in each of these important areas. KSPG supports and partners with crisis intervention services, mental health providers and other community based institutions working to reduce suicide death in Kentucky and improve the after care of those who are affected by suicide.
KSPG Quarterly statewide meetings with the KY Department of Behavioral Health. Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday in March, June, September, December. In person (Frankfort) or by Zoom. Join Us:
(1) Reduce suicide deaths and attempts in the Commonwealth;
(2) Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Kentucky
suicide prevention plan;
(3) Serve as an advisory group to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and
the stake holders in the Commonwealth of Kentucky;
(4) Serve as liaison between the cabinet, the community and state suicide
prevention groups in collecting and disseminating pertinent information
Become a Suicide Prevention Trainer and teach others in the Commonwealth
Purchase a Kentucky 988 License Plate to bring awareness to the 988 Lifeline – Available Suicide Prevention Week and support Suicide Prevention Training.
